I've been looking and looking for a decent car to build, haven't found one yet with decent heater channels here in the Salt Lake City area. I swear they put as much salt on the roads as is in that damn inland sea.
Anyway, found a good looking Baja about an hour away. It's way more than you guys in AZ would ever pay for one, but for minimal rust I'll ante up. With any luck I'll be posting pics tomorrow night!

Getting one shipped is cheap. I had a car shipped from AZ to Delaware for $900. Just make sure you are there to take possesion. The new owner procastinated and they charged her $60 an hour to wait.

It looks great dude! Congratulations. What did you have to pay? What year is it? What size engine is it?

$3000, '70, 1600cc. As some of the AZ guys suggested, it probably would have been cheaper to get a really nice one shipped/towed from AZ, but this only took 3 hours out of my day.
It seems a lot of thought and effort went into building it, too. Adjusters, cage, dual spring plates, new bj's, interior too nice for a Baja, lol.
I'm happy with the purchase.
Kyle

Thanks for the info. Are you going to upgrade to a bigger engine?

That is a nice looking car. I think it would have cost about the same here. Congrats!

Wow! That really makes me feel lucky. Whoever built this car (it wasn't the high school girl I bought it from ) did a nice job.
My only complaints so far: One piece windows suck, purple lights under the dash are hideous, Kenwood stereo locked up after I reconnected the battery, lol.
My plans: drive it for the summer, build it up this winter. Probably bus trans, 1800-1900cc engine, 3 1/2 lift spindles, 6" over beam, 3x3's, 930's, all the good stuff.
Or something like that. My plan for a class 11 is obviously out the window.
