Dammit. After relocating my front limiting straps to give it a stronger design, they seem to be flapping like mad at about 65 MPH now and making a terrible racket like the car's gonna come apart. If I drive 70, it's OK, but if I'm in that 60-65 range, it's a bummer.

I'll be playing with bungees and retainers for awhile until I get it figured out, I guess.

I have seen people take a Bunggie and rap it over the middle of the strap and the shock, I have also seen them with 2 eyelets on the fram for each end of the bunggie and it pulled the strap into the frame.

I was down at Foddrill Motorsports yesterday and they have a race car with the same hook stops as you and they just put one on the bottom arm also and do not use limit straps That's pretty cool! Car was a (class 12)

Butt in the past we used springs and zip ties you just zip tie the spring to the strap and hook the other end to your towers or something.

I've got a hook stop on the bottom arm. I just prefer a strap to prevent over-extension. It has a bit of stretch to it and much less leverage. I'll spent a thousand times more time at full extension than at full compression, and I prefer this softer set up.

The steel stops are solid, but they are VERY rough. I prefer limit straps and bump stops.

Have you ever seen king bump cans on the front of a baja/beam car

I have some and have been toying with a way to mount them.

The rear is easy.

But I haven't seen them on the front.

Most of the limiting straps I've seen looked stout enough to hang a dump truck from. Seems to me if they're just heavy enough, bungees should do the trick, even if they don't look trick. I mean, do they really need to be much heavier than a motorcycle tie down? Or am I underestimating the forces involved?
