22mph or 22 mpg?

If it gets 22 mpg I'd say you got a good deal, if it goes 22 mph I'd say you got ripped!

I was on vacation in upper/middle Nevada. Drug the Baja behind the RV. Had a great time. The Baja ran great! We went all over the place. Ran up to Beaver Damn.....56 miles of dirt roads. No problem. Will post pics soon.

I just got back yesterday from 3 days in Kalispell, Montana (work) and then 9 days at my folks' place in McCall, Idaho. Mountain lakes, deer literally laying in the yard all day, and high temps of about 80*! Man I did NOT want to come back to Phoenix until about October!

So, now it's time to get crankin' again on my baja!

I just woke up. Been drooling over PTGT's and a new Tundra double cab, but decided retirement is too close to take on another 5 or 6 years of payments.
Then again, I've been known to be impulsive.

To hot head north east to the White Mountains

A relaxing mud bath?

[
After a nice bath its time to look around. A short trip to Lake Mountain.

Time to reconoiter from 8,200 feet.

Table Top? No, but I was told you can see Four Peaks 100 miles away on a clear day.

Los Burros ranger station a few miles from Mountain Lake lookout, built in 1910 now it is a camp site.

Moving up and towards Sunrise is Geen Mountain lookout at 10,000 ft.

Timberline Ranch cattle grazing on the base of Green Mountain from the top.

Timber Ranch owned by Dwyane Dobson of Chandler.

It occupies an abandoned Ranger station circa 1940.

We met Frank the foreman watering his four horses.

Frank's Catahoula hound puppies after a hard day of training.

Frank's future Cowboys and Cowgirls in training with the boss.

Special thanks to the Timberline Ranch and Frank for thier hospitality.

A wrong(?) turn at Porter Mountain and we end up in the lowlands.

A couple of miles away is the Thunder Mountain Speedway dirt track.
We found some trucks that grew well in the fresh mountain air.

They all had blown Rat engines with turbo 400 transmissions.

This one was still a virgin.

Rusting in peace.

Dan
The invite was on the forum. I just saw the Az Baja Box Canyon run video That would of been fun. I was at Box Canyon in the early 90s and ran across the the AZ VW Club already there, we ran with them for the weekend.
