There are a lot of motor homes that park just past the intersection of the new entrance road to the left of where it meets the FR 403 Rd. Some make the trip down the whooped out 403 to the area at the top before the creek but that seems like the MH would take a beating. The FR403 is only nice for about a week after it gets graded in early February.

For those who haven't been there is something for everyone, smooth trails, rocky trails, wash roads, hill climbs, rock gardens, cattle trails etc. There will be trails and group rides suitable to everyone's vehicle and driving abilities

So far if your from out of state they have not made a fuss. If you have a full size plate they don't even look. About the only way you would have a problem if you were driving recklessly and they caught you.

I agree with JWH there are plenty of trails out there in the main area you can drive for miles with the stock on lifted Baja enjoying the wash and rolling trails for hours without worry this place is a very popular off-road park so even if you do get stuck there's always a stranger nearby to help you out you have to drive a while to get into some of the rougher areas and when you get to the rock crawling areas there's always a turnaround if you were new to this area you will need more than just a weekend to thoroughly explore all the easy trails and fast-moving washes. Since discharging your firearm is prohibited in this area makes it a great place to bring your family for fun the reason that I'm concerned about bringing my motorhome is because the road leading into the off-road area is very washboarded this would pose no issue for a smaller vehicle where you could drive 20 miles an hour I would be stuck driving 2mph. this is also a great area to bring your non-Volkswagen toys to play with.

JWH --- I have some ideas for poker run in this area.

Dalton

I'd drive at 1 mph if I had one. The couple miles in to the forestry road is real wash boarded after a full year of abuse.

the only time i've ever been stopped by anyone was when it was high fire danger and there was a temporary ban on fires and shooting, he was just making sure we were coming out to play and not shoot. other than that, you should be fine. just don't stop in the round-about before the gate and you should have any issues.
