Hi Guys

I need some help. I am almost done with my three year project and I am needing a line on some 35 12.50 r15 tires. Does any body know where I can get a set for cheap. I know discount tire. I am looking for maybe some take offs. just need to get it to roll so I can get the registration done and maybe a little testing so I can build the savings account back up. If any one can help I would offer them a ride and a cold beer. I can pay a little money.

Thanks

Craigslist is where I would start. When I was looking for rear tires I found that size every where. You also might call discount tire stores and see what they have for used tires.

You must have a pretty big engine and deep gearing to run tires that tall.

Ok I know it is not a VW but it does have vw heritage. It is rear engine and it does have turning brakes. With out by VW past I would never have wanted to build something like this. All that is left to buy is tires and a driveshaft. OK I know VWs do not have drive shafts. It will end up looking like a manx buggy and a trophy truck had offspring. But it is still kind of cool. By the way I am thinking of naming it "Beater" What do you think?

it is going to be street legal. i am still building the windshield frame. and the fiberglass is going to be connected with tool boxes along the side. i am making it to go camping in. i have built the rear of the car to fit a giant cooler that i already have. the motor is a small block chevy, turbo 350 transmission, into a 205 transfercase and does like a v-drive off the front yoke back to a ford 9in rear diff with an arb locker. This way i can have a spool at the flip of a switch. Coil over and bypass shocks on all four corners. the back uses a suplimintal air bag to control ride height so it will stay level what ever i put in the rear of the car. today in am putting the rear axle in the car hopefully i can finally pull it out of the garage and take so better pictures.
