I usually hang out on volksrods.com. I have had 6 bajas, 2 'glass buggies and 2 rail buggies over the years, along with about 30-plus other VWs. I have a couple atv's now and have had a couple 4x4s. My last one was a 89 Toyota ext cab 4x4 with the good ole 22RE. It sat on small 245/75/16s (roughly the same size as a 31/10.50/15) Bridgestone Duelers.

My bajas have been mild, mostly stock suspensions, small engines but lots of fun. My last one (sold last year) was a 74 with 31/10.50/15s on rear and 235/75/15s on front. It never got finished. I had it and a 69 RHD suicide-doored lowrider at the same time. There are a few pics on my photobucket page.

I have a Stephens SandShark buggy right now but I would like to get another baja soon. I also have a pair of '63 ragtop bugs that I am going to chop into a volksrod.

Other stuff...I'm 36, married since I was 18, 2 boys (6 & 13), work for Caterpillar Work Tools, Inc. as a welder/trainer. I have an A.S. degree from ITT Tech in computer drafting and design but I don't use it. I drive a 05 F150 SuperCrew as my daily and haven't had the atv's out in tooo long.

Just figured I'd check in here...it's been a while. I've owned a couple more 'glass buggies and a parts baja that I resold pretty quick since I last posted here. I've also sold the atv's. I'd like another baja or a buggy (rail or glass) but I've got too many projects right now.

Oh, I've got three boys now and quit welding about 2-1/2 yrs ago and now I'm a Manufacturing Specialist. I do 3D design work using ProE.

Ok, so fast forward to the end of 2012 Laughing

I'm really wanting another baja or rail buggy. After 5-1/2 years as a Manufacturing Specialist I moved back into the shop as a Supervisor. I have responsibility for 70k sq ft factory from raw materials (cnc plama tables, cnc mills, 30 weld stalls, blast, paint, assembly, shipping)

Anyway. I just posted my VW history in that thread...holy crap. Talk about quantity over quality!! Shocked

Still no baja or buggy. I'm building a '67 bus and have a ratty '67 bug.

I may make it out to Arizona soon. My son is doing his AIT at Ft. Huachuca.
