I found this Brandwood project in South Phoenix and brought it home today (just to N Phoenix). I know a little about the car and it's builder Jim Cunningham. I'm going to contact him as there a number of parts I need to get it rolling. Rear suspension is there, but no shocks. Fire suppression is still there with the nozzles attached. Missing the hood and front beam.

Anyone have any parts or info?

Sorry, you have to have a Facebook account to see them. I didn't have anywhere else to post them at the moment.

Got that Flickr link hanksgt. That worked for me. Cool old buggy. Brandwood always buiilt nice cars and this one is a very obvious and quite good imitation of a Funco SS2. There are small details like the scoop shapes at the front of the sidepods which define that this is NOT a Funco. Interesting points are:
- The VW Type 1 torsion housing
- The fuel cell bladders without solid shell or even mounts beyond the top ring to the fiberglass (What WERE they thinking?)
- The rear suspension is entirely a head scratcher...The torsion makes sense, the 3-link rear suspension makes good sense, the outer arm mounting on a pivot on the outside of the torsion cap...hmmm, wouldn't it have been simpler to have used a spring plate for the front trailing arm, shock mount and the torsion pivot?

But still, it's a very cool old car!
