Ok here is my 1959 Sunroof Sedan w/ a 1600dp and a mild cam. So far the body is all straight and rust free, good paint, rotted seats, no interior. Motor condition unknown, but has good compression. No carb or intake, no exhaust, no glass, no ignition. Overall a straight car, just not all there. A perfect blank template. [img][/img] [img][/img] Here are the pictures of when I first got it. Ill have some more to come tonight. I think I procured a stinger header and I am going to sand and paint on the bumpers.

I am trying to keep this build under $1500 with interior, motor, new tires, lights and anything else I need. This bug has not ran in over 20 years, but has been stored in a climate controlled garage most of its life.

OK so far I have welded up a stinger to the old header that wouldn't clear the cage w/ the big nuffler on it. Sanded and painted the front and rear cages, sanded the trunk and painted it, and now am in the process of mounting the nerf bars after they have been sanded and painted. I'll post some pics later tonight

Ok I have a little bit of an update. I got a Weber progressive and all intake mainfold parts along with and old style points ignition and 009 dist. which will be swapped to electronic soon, but for now it gets me runing. Also I found out that when it was parked it had new cyl. pistons, rings, rods, crank, oil pump, lightened flywheel, milled heads, and port and polish job. I am hoping for an 80 horse reliable daily driver. I did notice a see through cancer spot in the pass. side of the pan so I will be bracing and coating that before my seats go in. Tomorrow I will pull the rear tires, inspect brakes and dial down the torsion bars to even out the camber. Pics soon to follow.

Looks good. Keep those pictures coming. Make that exhaust tip turn down a bit. Once it gets left out in its first rain storm, you'll be glad you did.

Not much done today or yesterday. But i did find this horrible bastardly little invention called wheel locks on all four corners. I welded a nut to one of them and thanks to my beautiful welding skills it snapped off under torque. Time to call pops to give me a hand. I had a set of Solex duals (says 40/44 on the side???) given to me with all the Kadron intake pieces to go with it. Also got the power pulley too, and a valve cover breather box.
