What size battery do you guys reccomend/ run? The one in my car is only 400 cold cranking amps, and turns pretty slow so I'm going to the parts store this weekend for a new one.

I was told that if you have a body lift, there are no restrictions on your battery size because the reear seat sits 3" higher.

Thats true an MB 88 (about 80 plus pounds) would fit in a large marine battery box. A battery box is a great idea. Unless your using an Optima style battery you get to watch the acid drip out onto the headliner when you roll over.

i would like to suggest the optima battery ... on sale you may find it for 150.00 bu if you ever need it to get you out of a bind it will do the job with no worry.

the one in my rail is over 4 years old... i run most weekends and about a month ago, i left my lights on in the rail sitting in my driveway, got a phone call, and came back to the rail about 3 hours later.... it cranked up and ran great. i have a red top and love it. no worries.

Yeah, we've got a red top in the cobra, which does more sitting than driving and its great. and the old one didnt hold a charge... so im going now to pick one up. I'm not going to spend the money for a red top in the baja, just a simple battery will do. I'll see what i find Smile
