.....doesnt always stay in Vegas" Mr. Green

So I took a trip to Vegas saturday to pick up a car that was given to me, a 73 Thing body. Its VERY rough and has some rust issues (OK a lot of rust issues)

So im thinking this one is going to take tons of sheetmetal and tons of work bring it back from the dead, and so the name Lazurus just seemed to fit.

More on the project plans in the coming months, dont want to let the cat out of the bag just yet. I have too many other things to take care of before this one goes in the shop.

So here is the concept, Lazarus will be a Roadster.

It will be lowered, but not so low it isnt drivable. The front tires and wheels with be 13x5 inch centerlines with 185/70-13s, and the rears will be 15x15 centerlines with 515/45-15s (no that tire size isnt a typo) the color will be a deep purple (deeper than the color in the rendering) with pinstriped silver flames on the front. The beam will be pushed forward about 4-6 inches. The windshield will be about 3/4 height with an open top, roadster style.

after looking at it. I'm thinking a dark matt or flat purple to give it the rat rod look but with the pin strip flames in crome or silver.

Quote::
2005 Arizona Code - Revised Statutes §28-1093 Vehicle width; exceptions
Arizona 2005 Code All US State Codes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A. Except as otherwise provided in subsections B and C of this section and section 28-627, the total outside width of a vehicle or the load on the vehicle shall not exceed eight feet.

B. If pneumatic tires, in substitution for the same type or other type of tires, are placed on a vehicle in operation on July 1, 1950:

1. The maximum width from the outside of one wheel and tire to the outside of the opposite wheel and tire shall not exceed eight feet six inches.

Lazarus will have a width of 8ft 4in with the wheel/tire combo I picked up today. Twisted Evil Cool

Do you know what paint you are going to use yet? I have been thinking of using the Hot Rod Flatz for a motorcycle project I have going, lots of color choices. It's a one part so I am concerned about fuel resistance and stains.

Here is a tip for you, Use PPG and have them flatten it. There is a place called Charlies House of Color in Chandler that Bajawarrior hooked me up with that can mix it for you. I havnt confitmed this, but I have been told that hot rod flatz paint is PPG anyway.

I was going to do the project in a deep purple gloss, but I have changed my mind to a dark flat purple.
