My front tires are rubbing the through rods on the front end when I turn hard. I have 4x2 1/2 arms. The tires are 30x9.5. And the wheel are 6" wide.

It only rubs on very hard turns but made a little groove in my new tires.

I was thinking about going to 235/75r15. It shows them on treadwright as 9.1 inches wide and my 30x9.5 are showing 9.4 wide.

Think that will be enough? I dont want to go too much smaller?

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance. This website has been a great help on all of my projects!

How about the wheel width? That seems pretty wide for fronts- might also be part of your problem. If you're stuck on the width though, a different offset would help also. Of course, leave it to me to point out the most expensive option!

I am not set on the width. I just dont to go go any smaller tire diameter.

I wouldnt mind finding a nice set of aluminum wheels. Maybe I can check some prices of 15x5 wheels.

I think that ther is a screw or 2 on the steering box were you can set your end stops. look for end stops that you can adjust. My car is no longer stock so I'm not sure any more.

If anybody else had a similar problem I found 3/8 inch wheel spacers on ebay. They were only $12 each and did the trick.
