I have been out there on dirt bikes. Look at my Crown King rescue vid.
That is 192 the road from Lake Pleasant to Crown King.

It has been years but i took the road all the way to crown king once. it was pretty bad in spots. it has been 15 years though. not sure what it would look like now. You could barely do it with a stock baja then maybe not at all now.

It si rougher now. If the Baja is raised to the stops with 28-30" tires all around it should make it.

Lets see if we can get Dan Jones to put a skid plate on his baja and head out there. A AZBAJA road trip would be good.

Do not use Lexan for a windshield it is dangerous. Bap has cheap prices on windshields and new rubber. If you tow it you have to go back the same way. Unless its cold out I try to drive the rail. You need to bring a jack a spare tire, spare gen belt, oil, tools, tow strap, come along, etc.

maybe im going to have to postpone this trip then. sounds a little more than i was looking for on the first trip. have a bottle and scissor jack i can pack but not a high-lift. dont have a spare. or belt. have a tow strap and come along though.

maybe when i get some more work done to my bug i will be confident enough in it.

Along with fuses, clutch and accelerator cables these are things that belong in your Baja even for street driving.

We can do a trip to Sycamore, Bull dog Canyon, The Rolls, Upper Sycamore for traing purposes. Only about 4 miles of the LP to CK trail are a challenge. Maybe a seven on a 1-10 scale the rest is a 2.

Look at my Crown King Recovery post in Bench Racing to see the rough spots on the trail. There is plenty of this terrain at the Rolls and Buldog Canyon to practice on.

looks pretty harry in spots for a 2wd for sure. i use to have a yj and that thing wouldnt of thought twice about that trail. it looks like alot of fun but i would hate to have somthing go out on me all the way at crown king haha. the trip sounds like it would be a blast. about how long does the trail take? start to finish?

im sure that maybe goin out somwhere out in this side of town would prolly be the best bet...maybe we can get together for a pre test trip.

also i may be needing a couple of extra hands to help me get my bug ready for the beating im going to put it threw. i will post pics shortly of my suspension and other jazz for you all to pick apart.

the plan for this week was to go get the turbo muffler kit to install on my bug. round 89 bucks or so plus tax...now if i need to make this thing street legal thn i think im going to need to deal with a obnoxious exhaust for a while longer.

need front glass. front rear and back side glass seals..gotta get it registered and streetable. so im going to be load as hell for a while longer.
