I have been towing these things for a while now and was wondering if you should disconnect the axles?. The tow bar works really well and I usually put it in neutral for just close tows but I am going on about a 2-3 hour drive so I need to know if I should just disconnect the axles on the outside??

A manual you can tow in for ever no problem. Auto's do not like to be towed for long and that is with any car.

i towed my 59 baja fron Oregon to Phoenix in neutral all the way. never disconnected a thing. it came home just fine.

in fact we were averaging 90mph + across the desolate areas of Nevada. Twisted Evil

yeah once in nutral it is fine. Yet you should disconnect the axles at the wheel, 1 so the tranny doesn't get the oil hot, and the extra wear on the diferntial.

so yes you can do it both ways. just your preferance
