Don from Chirco's recommended not to get the Douglas wheels for a desert Baja. There are for sand.

I have BTR's for the frt and then everyone ran out of them so I still do not have the rears.

I've got the Douglas' (presumably), with BFG Mud-Terrains, so the tire has that nice lip to protect the bead of the rim from damage. I think that should minimize any problems with bending the wheel(s).

Well apparently the wheels they get don't come any other way. Reverse offset is your choice and that's it. It's not like there's a whole lot of choices out there. you either get 3.5" or nothing on a 15x8 wheel. At least thats all I've been able to find.

Well, I guess running a wheel with a backspace is possible on a wide 5 drum. If it wasn't possible they wouldn't make them. I'd rather have a little back space anyhow because I still have the stock width front end. if I didn't use the BS wheels it would look goofy as hell.

Is anyone running 15x10's on the rear? I mounted my sandrail wheels on the baja over the weekend and like it! 15x10 with 3.5" BS. 31x10.50's seem to fit good. Just wondering if anyone has had issues running this size of wheel?

It is a good size to run. Changing gear ratios makes it even better. With 31 " tall tires a 1.56 3rd and 1.12 fourth keeps the same engine speed while in 3rd 43 mph @3000 rpm and 4th 60 mph @3000 rpm) Your 1/2 gear mph goes up a couple of mph. If the engine is stock it might feel a little doggy. An Engle 100 or VZ 14 cam cures that.
