Check the idle on the carb, adjust the carb if needed (leaner or richer) check the timing.

Thats all i got, i had similar problems with my 68 Dual Port, usually it's a quick Carb adjustment that solves the problem.

and WELCOME TO AZBAJA!

you have to find the right spot for it. keep messing with it. you will figure it out just remeber how many you went right or how many you went left. it just all depends.

just keep going till it starts running better, if it gets worse turn the screw the other way.

once you get it where you like it, drive it for about 5 min then check it again and make any adjustments needed.

GOOD LUCK Cool

If it runs til it gets warmed up the choke turns off then it dies maby an air leak or a vaccum leak, silanoid, unequal compresion in your cylinder.... but id make sure its not a bad ajustment 1st! alot of people start with 1-2.5 turns out.... and then just keep your hand on the trottle then adjust it til it idles... if it wont idle then its probly an air leak and if thats what it is take a can of carb cleaner, ether, etc.. (anything in a can that sprays) and then spray the joint and or where all gaskets are and if the engine revs thats where your leak is... (make sure you dont spray the distibutor or you might have a lil fire on your hands!)Ive been goin through the sae thing you are...
