I took my driving test on the East Coast so a big part of my driving test was parallel parking and maneuvering a vehicle through tight spaces.. But I believe I started driving right around 13 years old when my sister crashed her beetle.. I used to go down and get three dollars worth of gas and beat snot out of it.. With getting into trouble??!!?! I went ahead and modified a pan buggy to the ultimate stealth mode to avoid being detected. It has a 120 V DC surplus air force starter generator bolted to the back.. And 10 deep cycle 12 V batteries sitting right over the rear axle this car with a set of snow chains would go anywhere.. I wish I could went down with my pan buggy to take my driving test but I don't think the DMV guy would get in with me..

Ok so this thread got a little hijacked talking about getting a drivers license.

Back to the car, we have all the parts for the front end and shouldhave it rebuilt by next week. he went with 3" extended KYBs for the front (will get fox's eventually but the budget wasnt there right now).

Motor is torn down. It appears the bottom edge of the #1 piston broke off, looks like it could have been an air flow issue around the bottom of the cylinders. Which is strange cause we are running cool tins, I think 2 of the cooling finds inside the old ass shroud we have on there are loose so that may have caused the issue.

The pieces must have gone out the exhaust. Which is good because the case is still in one piece and no metal in the oil.

So its going to get a new set of pistons & liners, new heads, new fan shroud and oil cooler with fan.
