I need some advise or instructions on how to put on the one piece front end. i bought it without directions and im very confused
any imformation can help
and I WIll post pics of my 1969 soon its a beatifull car.
thanks for any instructions you can offer

the before engine pick has a rebuilt 1969 carberator I bought it for only 130 bucks so that was nice and the chrome pully the after pics were when I completed the chrome kit and of course worked on the engine it wasnt working when I got it. and I also bought a performance exhost system with a baffle. if im not mistaken a baffle reduces noise a little?
but its really comming together I have all the stuff I need for my interior even new seats so I cant wait till I get it all together im going to do the interior after getting it painted and im done with all the fiberglassing. and then i got to find someone or a company that I can buy a windshield from the other one was shattered.

Mine was already on the car, so I can't be of much help- sorry! Do you have some structure to support it up front? Mine has a couple of pins that poke through coming off of the front bumper setup (inside the front end).

I believe there's some trimming, etc. to do also. Have you cut any of your body off yet? I did take some pics of my currently-disassembled front end that I'll download from the camera and post maybe tonight that may be of some help.

Maybe post some pics of where you're at- might help get the ball rolling.

-patzke thanks man yeah I hope I can figure this out I wanted to get it painted soon. ill gladely help you if you have any questions.

-az350x thank you for the reply yeah I have heard of the pins but I havent seen it so im kinda confused on how it works ive also heard that they stay on a tilt bar I havent purchased one yet becouse I Would like to see if there is anything even better. pictures would really help me out im a very visual kinda guy.
fiberglass can be a real pain.
same with wiring

heres some newer pics I got the doors on
and I placed the fiberglass on its not in tact its just on top so it doesnt look all that good

I also wanted to aske what color do you think is good I was going to name it grasshoper and paint it green but my original color would have been blue. im not sure how much it costs to do special paint effects but that would also be pretty cool.

I haven't done any one piece fronts but from what I've seen on those with a 1-piece, YOU'VE GOT SOME CUTn' TO DO!
That's kinda why I went with a 7 piece kit. Plus I want to keep some sort of trunk.
Although the 1 piece kits look mucho better as far as smooth lines and such.
Where you at? Maybe some one can meet ya and help...

BTW. Looks solid. You've got a nice "block of stone" to work with.

Here's a couple pics of mine that will hopefully help you some.

Here's how the cut looks on mine.

Here's with the bumper on so you can see how the pins are set up. The two short stubs with a hole in the end that you can see is where the headlights each mount.

I think I've seen pics of some with the stock tank still used. They just left some of the structure that goes around the front of the tank. I've also seen less cutting done on the body- more of the front fenders left in place and just bent in along the top so the one-piece would still fit over it. The upside to that trick was that the original "fender" (part of the body- not the actual bolt-on fenders) served as a deflector to keep your tires from throwing crap up underneath there. Hard to explain, but if you saw it, you'd understand.

Yeah, I'm sure if even you cut all the body away you could make yourself a little brace to hold the tank...

I'm sure it can be done, i just cant imagine a way to make it look nice, unless you cover it....

but with a one piece, that whole front section is basically open...

Mine's not tilt- it pins on with those two pins through the hood, and the dzeus fasteners down the sides in the pic.

I owned a tilt one-piece (never installed it). I didn't like the hinge mechanism, AND I didn't like the itty bitty "bumper" you had to use that it hinged to. It was pretty cheezy.
