80/90w gear lube,,fill it till it leaks out the side plug hole!!

That's what I just used in mine. I think it was Valvoline, semi-synthetic, 80w-90.

Anyone ever used royal purple gear oil? Heard they are really good. A friend of mine run it on his pre runner Tacoma and said that the tranny feels a lot better and seems to be performing smoother.

I use Royal Purple in my bikes. Motor and diff, but only because of the color and being able to see it in the sight glass. /shrug

There are several brands of high dollar fluids out there and there are many racers who swear by their stuff. I personally think it has to do with budget, bragging rights about I use this......, and if you are out on a ride and get a leak will someone else have some to top you off if you run out.

My whole budget for my Baja and my Road Runner has come from selling synthetic and special snake oils to "make things last longer and improve mileage". Cool $33.5k and climbing. Shocked
