Engine is a 1915 with a 40 dell and 1 5/8 exhaust angle 110 cam, trans is a 091 bus built by Dons Bus Box with 930 CVs & 3x3s.

It seems like a great combo. Will it be strictly an off road toy?

Well a little progress, got the front clip painted today, and finished the spare tire mount and skid plate the last few days. Next will be the rear bumper and rear fenders.

Well I figure its better than no spare at this point. Cool It was free and it fits perfectly under the hood. At some point I will replace it with something silimar to the front tire/wheel combo.

I'm with Bugzyla any tire is better than a flat tire. it looks like a 235 70 15 so it is not to small.

Looks great Zyla! What wattage are those lights?
And a big fat heck yeah on a questionable spare being way better than none! Blew a tire on my truck a few months ago. The tires on the truck were 31x10.50s and the spare was only a 215x75 and was dry rotted and only had about 15 pounds of air in it. But, driving slowly and and taking it easy for a few miles was 100 times better than being stranded.

Music Maniac, Not sure on the lights, I bought them at a swap meet. If they dont do the job I will upgrade to HIDs later. The 2 larger outside lights are just standard hi/lo beam headlight bulbs in the chrome KC style housings.

Preston, Patience grasshopper Laughing The stripes will get done later once I get the windows all in and can wash the dirt off of the car without scratching the paint.

Here is the last pic until monday. I got both rear fenders final trimmed and test fit. The inner fender will be painted black so if wont be as obvious as it looks in the pics, no need for more trimming becasue the tires stick out well past that point. I am going to weld steel baja style fenders to whats left of the stock rear fenders (see earlier pics for a rough mockup). Monday I will throw the motor back in so I can build the rear bumper.

Digging it man Cool How much fab work is involved in getting a fast back up to Baja standards? Can a stock fastback be made into a baja without using fiberglass? I found a good deal on one here in OH Smile

It depends on what kind of baja you want. The biggest problem with a stock fastback is the front tire clearance issue. If you try to run anything larger than the stock 165-15s you will have rubbing issues on the rear fender well area. I moved my beam 6 inches forward and widened it 10 inches to match the back track width. I have a link pin beam in mine, the stock type 3 beam is quite a bit heavier but it will have disc brakes on it.
