I'd save it, even if just indoor storage for now to stop deterioration. Stop and think that the first Baja race was about 35 or so years ago now. Just like old jalopy cars, early attempts at offroad vehicles gotta be worth something someday. Who'd ever thought you'd see Toyota Corollas going across Barrett Jackson as collectables?

Loks like a Ball joint beam, could have been a 67 bug at one time.

I thought the wide 5 was only on king/link beams (factory anyway).

Ahhhh... the UP, where they grow parts cars like corn.

I'd keep it, short wheelbase... wheelies & can get in & out of some real tight areas.

wide 5 through 67. But I have personally touched(not just heard of)a 67 that was brought in from somewhere outside the states...this in 1977 or so...it was factory 6volt(with correct decals)and 4 lug drums. Along the same line...my 68 autostick brought back from Germany had factory lowback seats and a nonpadded dash, along with flat headlights(ala Hella or Porsche style), with park light bulbs in them. The turn signals were on the fenders like a USA version, but had single element bulbs, no park provision. It was also broke and wouldn't move under it's own power, like most autosticks.....
