on the roof, or on the back like a jeep are about the only place for a tire the size your running. even 33X9.5 or 10.5 whatever the narrow 33 is.

Went for a ride awhile back with my daughter stopped for gas and heading out of town.

How would you sum up your N/A engien vs. the Turbo, power torque...worth the time and money or not.

Ok here is what I have so far.

Case = AS41
Stroke= 69
Bore = 94
Heads = CB 044
Compression = 7.57
Cam = Was asked not to tell.
Turbo = T03/04 hot side .48 cold .42
Carb = Single Dell 45 set up for Turbo
inter-cooler, waste-gate and BOV
6 rib tranny
33X12.50X15 rear tires
I need to put the LM-1 back on and find out what the AFR is. I have it set up for 7psi but before I had the limit set I hit 20+ and blew a hole in the cylinder and head. I was running too lean and to high of boost.
Here is where I am at right now. Trying to get it finished for the next weekends run.


I am not running the high dollar parts, just try and drive it with RPMs under 5k and try to keep my alter ego in check Wink

When I first put on the Turbo I thought this is pretty cool, I am running huge tires and I can gain speed going up a hill (highway). It is for sure a performance boost in a few ways.

Is it worth the time and money? Do you need a Turbo for most rides? No. Does it help on most rides? Yes. I really can't answer the question, if you have the time and the extra money I would say yes. If it will stop you from riding waiting on parts then no. Will I go with a VW without a turbo? NO. Sorry not much help on this one.

It would be alot of fun. I dont know anyone with turbo ACVW and figured i would ask you.

It seems to make more sense than spending alot of money for large valve heads and large dual carbs.

What did it cost to switch to the turbo from your N/A induction?

btw, i dig the new color! how the paint adhearing to the plastic body?

Every time I have to back down a long nasty hill I think if only I had a turbo. Due to the "alter ego" Twisted Evil Very Happy thats why I don't have a turbo as it can get you into trouble much faster than it can get you out.
