Hey everyone! I'm the next new guy so i guess i should let you know a little bit about myself. I'm 18 and I've had my first Baja ever since the first day i was born. My Grandma bought the '73 super beetle brand new and drove it for a about 20 years until my dad turned 16. My grandfather and my dad used it as a father and son project, and they turned it into a Baja. My dad, then, passed it down to me. when i inherited it, it didn't have a motor or Trans. But luckily my family has a whole stock pile of transmissions and motors I'm the backyard. Now, I've lifted it and had some questions about the rear suspension and that's how i found you guys. So, expect questions coming and I'll post pictures once i figure it out.

Hey hows it goin? Im not a new member but its been forever since i got on. Well i sold my 73 and picked up a baja'd 63. Needs new floor pans, motor is broke down, needs cleaning and reassemble. Need paint and interior. It has a push bar up front, need a rear cage and i also wanna put 4 lights on a light bar on the roof. Maybe some cop spotlights if my wallet and wife are nice enough lol. Looking to have some nice desert suspension thats decent on the road without a boatload of money. Everything is on a budget here lol. I would like to cruise the washes at about 30-35 and not get jarred out of my seat on every bump. Maybe jump a little but thats it. I live out in surprise and i would like to find a racing series with just a bunch of regular guys that dont have $10,000 cars. If you know of some please let me know. I like helping people so if you need a hand and are fairly close to surprise feel free to ask for help. Thanks guys and ill be alot more active this time around

I had a bronco was on a trail and was watching this guy do amazing stuff with his Baja bug over in box canyon. it was then I decided to get one. so I picked one up for about 2500 bucks its a bit of a pile but I plan to make it a nice everyday driver and trail rider. build it up to go camping hunting fishing etc. I joined the site through google after I typed in how to fix positive camber on my rear end since I just put in new coil over shocks. hopefully this site helps.

Hey Guys,

Unfortunately I have no BB to post pics of mostly due to the lack of funding. Being a student will do that to ya. But hopefully in the next few years I will have the project in the garage. Have been on the site for a little over 2 months now and still know nothing, but have learned tons from the forum. Been thinking about starting a thread to gather ideas on increasing the enthusiasm of the wife! haha

Anyways, That's me I a nutshell. finishing up school, wanting a Baja for daily driver, grown-up tinker toy, and outdoor trip vehicle.

Howdy y'all! My name's Tyler, I live between Florence and San Tan in Arizona. Currently I have owned 2 VWs, my first one was a Barney colored '69 Baja bug that I ended up driving out to Anniston, AL from Tucson. I had to leave it behind when I came home due to lack of funds and mechanical problems. My second and newest one is a turbocharged 2110cc powered rail that I bought with my tax refund. I'm always on the lookout for folks to go riding with. Feel free to add me on Facebook and let me know when you're down for a cruise. Name is Tyler Doran on FB, just look for a pic that has a drill rig and a work truck that says Arizona Beeman Drilling.

Hello I'm Elijah

I have visited this forum and the samba forum before .. I own a 1964 vw bug
with a 6volt system.. I have plans to upgrade it but I just wanted to say this is the first project car I have ever bought that runs and drives.. heh..

Don't worry I will put some more power in it both electrically and in horsepower..

Anywho I worked at motor rebuild shops in my youth rebuilding motors and such and I use to weld/fab a bit.. I always wanted

to own a Baja bug because I have always been one to build it not buy it.. I also LOVE offroading I live in Tulsa OK but I'm originally from the west coast.
I plan on starting a build thread as time and funds allow..

also the picture with the quart of oil full of gasoline and the fuel line running was temporary " I had issues getting the bonnet open and it was out of gas . I realy didn't feel like pushing it up hill into my backyard ....

anywho here is a link to the photos

New to the site (now that I finally go registered). I just picked up a 69 Baja Bug and a 74 VW sandrail. Don't know much about the VW beetle but hopefully will learn more. The 69 Baja runs really good now I have to get it out and test it. The 74 sandrail needs some work. The fuel lines need replaced badly and it has a stumble when full throttle. I think the fuel pump might be going bad.

I just missed the new years camp out it is not very far from my house.

Hey all, new guy here. Just bought my first bug, it's a 71 Baja. I'll post pics soon.

Do you all get together on the west side ever? I've never owned an air cooled before so this is all new to me.

Curious if Bugzilla is still selling link pin conversions for BJ front ends? His website is no longer active.
