Son a BITCH!!!! Who said that wasn't hard to do! ?!!!??!?! Okay, the cutting wheel sucked, didn't cut a straight on ANY of the cuts I made, that made it a bitch to turn the center sections. Thank you Leatherneck for the angle iron guide idea. That saved me big time! Then my pipe wrench suddenly was missing the adjusting nut! How does that happen?

Anyways it's done. I couldn't even get near a 1/4 turn cos of the bumper in front of the beam, which is fine. It's stiff as a board right now. My chief complaint about this car is that the front end is sooooo heavy it just dives anytime I jump it. Not anymore. It was bouncing off of the speed humps in my hood. So I ran down an alley and launched the hell out of it!!!! Hope I doon't kill myself now.

Thats exactly how I feel right now. I'll be OK in the A.M. It wasn't that bad, I tend to exaggerate a bit. I think I'll leave well enough alone on my next rail tho'.......

Sorry to hear about the hassle, but good to hear that it did work in the end. Get a chance every now and then check out the welds. Time to have some fun.

As stiff as it is now I couldn't imagine going a 1/4 turn. My neighbor toild me ( after the fact) that I could pull one or two of the springs out of the pack and it help considerably.

So maybe in a month or two I'll repalce my ball joints and sneak one or two out if it isn't going to cause too much problems.

Sorry to tune in so late but we have come to the decision that turning the front end is not worth the hassle. Bolting on cheap coil-overs or air shocks and slapping some lift spindles gets you a stiffer front, better lift, and retains the stock suspension geometry which give you better handling.
