Just make sure those brake lights work. You do pretty good work for a guy who does not have a tubing bender. Keep up the progress there buddy!

I thought the same thing when I posted these pics so I went out and checked it again. It is straight... when I took the pic I was laying on top of my solvent tank and I was at kind of a wierd angle. The exhaust does run a little lower to one side also. When I get my coil conversion plates and get it on all 4's again I will roll it outside and take a REAL good look at things before final welding. I may even let Lether come over and look too .

Another quick up date... I had to fill in the area at the top of the bumper, kinda boxed it in a little. The design is pretty much done... all I have to do now is a bunch of weld'in and grind'in Smile

Before.......

After.........

BTW...the top tube on the bumper came out of my class 11 rollcage kit Wink

...And I thought I was the only guy who built a bug using pre-bent tubing. I used three Class 11 kits, two hoops, and a partridge in a pear tree on mine. It's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. It gives be a whole new perspective on your car. When I review the pictures, I can see the pieces now in a whole different light.

Really nice job dude, and keep those pictures flowing. We're all really enjoying the show!

I've been eyeballing the roof rack that came off my Ford truck that's laying out in my backyard lately. I still need to drop the rear bumper tubing so I can put my skid plate back on. The new engine has a sump that sits lower than my cage and it's driving me nuts.

Mine was different also. It seems the axles come in same lenght sets so I figured I'd have to move the trans. As you can see from the pic I moved it quite a bit. I kept moving it 'till the measurements were the same from side to side.
