just wondering if there are any particular shops/parts stores that you have been to that left a bad taste in your mouth and you would not recommend visiting...?

also, what places are you more favorable to going to for service and prices?

i'm just getting started with my eternal search for parts and upgrades, but i don't want to be wasting time and money. good times

Thanks for the plug Scott!! Cool

My shop rate is $50 an hour, mainly because I run the biz from home and dont have the extra overhead. You will find just about every other shop in town is $75 an hour or more. I also have certain things that I do for one flat fee.

well, i guess now i know of at least one person to talk to more in the future:)

but, really. what shops should i avoid and and who else is out there that has good service?

i've been to karls customs in mesa and they looked swamped, hurried and really didn't help all that much. maybe it was the day, maybe it was me...
i'm really just planning on getting heads, but i know i'm going to need more in the future.
so? any other places that come to mind? good or bad? good times

Scott AKA Bajawarrior does great work, and even does stuff for me, very maticulous and honest.

Dougs Buggs & Bunnies in Mesa 480-962-1101 great guys, been around along time, very trustworthy.

Chirco in tucson, I buy most of my parts from them, I hear they have a great service department also.

Most of the shops I know of in the phoenix area I would not recomend to anyone.

Talk to fish @ Dougs. He's a good dude and a lot of PHX cars run fish-built motors.
