It was sitting for about a year. The guy died that was building (finishing) it, and the business where it was parked just wanted it gone.

I sprayed some WD-40 down the spark plug holes, turned it by hand, changed the oil, and it started right up. A lot more torque than my 1776 has. I was surprised how much more it umph it had. More cam? More ??? I'm not sure if dual-barrel carbs make that much difference, but it has them.

I did ask what their lowest price was, but I am horrible at negotiating. I pretty much just handed over the $850 and said thank you.

As I was towing it to my brother's house to mount the seats, the right wheel came off on the interstate. Lots of fun!

The only things I have had to replace are the turning brake, battery, clutch master cylinder, ...I think that's it.

Uhhh...are you asking the asking price for the bug? If so, I will list it for $3900 and take $3500. I am in no hurry to sell it.

Freshly rebuilt motor, completely rewired, very good shape, no rust, unique. I will probably have to sit on it for a while. As it sits now, I would take a little less. I still need to rebuild the carbs and finish repairing the rear fenders where they were split due to the paddle tires' being too big.

Oh...gotcha! I didn't catch it because that is the business that was getting rid of it. I took that picture to e-mail to my wife for her opinion.
