EVERYBODY HAS DIFFERENT IDEAS IM SURE I USED RIVETS MAKES FOR A CLEAN FINISH WHEN PAINTED AND ITS NOT LIKE I,LL EVER HAVE TO REMOVE IT. IF YOU DO JUST DRILL OUT RIVETS .THEN RIVET IT BACK ON USEING SAME HOLES!!

I used stainless steel screws and it worked great. Just be sure to use #8s so that you can use bigger screws if you ever stip them out. I put just 4 in mine and haven't knocked it off yet. I suggest you stay away from bondo if you had thought about it. My brother's was done that way when he bought it and he hates it. Plus if you're ever going to put on a 2 barrel you'll need to be able to remove the cover cause it's a pain if you can't.

Yep, we're talking about the rear scoop. The cover that goes just below the rear window.

Hopefully with silicone around the threads?

I guess I'm looking for a less permanent solution, that looks good.

Now that I think about it you might be able to use twist type hood locks.
Most racers use them for alot of body panels, but the cover might be to thick.

Copperstate sells 1/4 stainless rivets that look good. There's also aluminum rivets that look good. You just have to have the big rivet gun.
