Ok time to be thinking about a motor 1641 1776 1835 those are my choices pros and cons ??

I'll drive on-road 70% of the time.a little freeway use then off-road so do i go with a stock rebuilt or go with CR 3rd and 4th beefed up for off-road. Just trying to get a happy medium on the engine and transmission.

Either 1641 for a budget build, or 1915 for a few bucks more. The 1915 has thicker cylinder walls and is more reliable. You will spent the same $$ to build a 1776 or 1835.

I would save the time and money you were planning on spending on your tranny and just use a T-1 tranny with a 4.125 R&P.
