There is a ser clip on the end that holds on the bearing witch would have to be cut off an then you also wouldnt have the 2 inches of slide for the bearings.

Are you able to take a photo of them. I'm sure they will work I would just hate to buy them have them shipped and then not. I'm on a budget for this car. And thanks for all the input. Also I have type 2 cv's on the tranny and type one stub axles. So I will just need to take my type 1 CV's off and put them on the sway-away axle.

Your type 1 cv's will not work on your 3x3s. They will bind no matter what kind of travel you set your suspension for. They don't have enough articulation in them to be moved back 3 inches from the stock location and then cycle through the suspension travel.

I've tried, it will break the cages in the cv's repeatedly

You can make a new snap ring grove. it would be a lot cheaper than buying a new Axle's.. look up a local machine shop to do the work.

Go 930's not T2's you will be a lot happier ... you need to get the kit from Empi that has the smaller balls for the CV's.. I don't run the "race cages" in my 930's any more ... there are a few reasons why:

1) they tend to "Click" bad.
2) they run hotter than stock cages.
3) I rather replace a 930 CV than blow something up in my trans.

Now with that being said.... I do run race cages on the inside CV on my rail so when I do blow a CV it is the outer CV that runs a stock cage... But my inner CV with a race cage I am running smaller balls and I have done mods to the inner race inside the CV and the race cage to make them work better... if you have access to a mill this is the way to go, but I rather replace a CV than a transaxle.

pound for pound... Now with all the mods and "fixes" that can be done to CV's... I just run stock cages with the sharp edges sanded down and install the smaller balls and carry 2 spares 930 CV's.. if you "click " on my "more photos" it will show how to pack and store a CV so they will never rust the inside.
