From Bryan Baxter of Mojave Baja Bug Adventures asked me to share this. Sounds like it could be fun if your close enough to make it.

I would like to announce the Lucerne to Pirate Cove run will be held April 8th, 9th, and 10th hosted by Shayne Stuart of SoCal Bajas and me Bryan Baxter of Mojave Baja Bugs. Please let me know if you're interested so I can inform the resort of the head count. Here are some details on River run. All are welcome to stage and leave their vehicles at my place in Apple valley. Will leave Apple valley first light on the 8th. The last pump gas stop will be ludlow Ca. I do have a chase truck equipped with full roll out tool box, small air compressor and 35 gallons of 91 octane. I just need to confirm my driver. The route is 177 miles to pirate cove resort. There will be camping available right on the river. There is also a bar and grill and depending on the numbers management has mentioned a discounted menu specifically for Baja runners. Please RSVP as soon as you can as the resort is trying to develop the run package and post on their website. Thanks!!!...oh the return is your choice. I personally will camping through the weekend with my family and either towing home or highway back to make the most of my time at the river.

They are on FB, just search the name Mojave Baja Bug Adventures.

Unless you have a Ls1 and store your ice in a plastic bag you'll be good to go. If some guys from Az Baja want to make the trip I'll meet in Needles Ca and run the rest with you. There is also supposed to be a run on Saturday around the area. Plenty off off roading area.

I'll ask for gps points. Cool I'm not sure how much is dirt and how much street there will be. We will find out. I'm learning About this too
