Hey off roaders!!!!

Well it's that time of year again,, we survived another hot summer and with the temperatures starting to drop people are starting to make plans to get in some rideing in this year... I called up Kenny last week and he is Jonesing and for dirt fix. We decided this year that the Crown King run will be held on the same date as the Crown King chili cookoff 10/10/15.. Kenny and I participated in it last year and it was a real blast so let's go again this year. the launch point will be at the Wildhorse bar at 99th Ave. and Carefree Highway. Leaving at 8 AM October 10th.. If we run into a bunch of traffic on the hill we may need to detour and head up by Minnehaha Flats. I have been told that the back way to crown King has become really tame. Most of the difficult parts now have bypasses, last year we had two pretty much stock Baja's participate. Everybody made it with no major issues.. I guess the forest service got tired of pulling 4x4 off the hill. There is food and gas in town if needed. Kenny also said that if you're going to participate in the 31th annual chili cookoff you might want to bring along some Rolaids and the small fire extinguisher for your mouth. Don't worry... the HOT stuff was well marked. Kenny will go up Wednesday to get a good camp spot for all of us right outside of town.

For those of you that are attending this AVC annual event please drop me or Kenny a note to let me know your coming..

see Ya in the Dirt!

another great trip... Kenny got a great camp spot. We had an event conflict ... I was told that Chrysler of America had a jeep event and they were boosting over 300 jeeps made there way up the back way to crown king.. what a mess...

jeep, jeep, jeep, truck, jeep, ATC, jeep, jeep, side by side, jeep, 3 wheeler, jeep, quad, razor, jeep, jeep, jeep, jeep, truck, jeep, ATC, jeep, jeep, side by side, jeep, 3 wheeler, jeep, quad, razor, jeep, jeep, jeep, jeep, truck, jeep, ATC, jeep, jeep, side by side, jeep, 3 wheeler, jeep, quad, razor, jeep, jeep, jeep, jeep, truck, jeep, ATC, jeep, jeep, side by side, jeep, 3 wheeler, jeep, quad, razor, jeep, jeep, jeep, jeep, truck, jeep, ATC, jeep, jeep, side by side, jeep, 3 wheeler, jeep, quad, razor, jeep, jeep, jeep, jeep, truck, jeep, ATC, jeep, jeep, side by side, jeep, 3 wheeler, jeep, quad, razor, jeep,

it sucked.. I lost count.. it seemed like I would never get to Crown King.. But when I did I lost my SD card of all the gopro footage of the run.. I wanted proof ...

all we had another Great run.. no one broke down... (you could not get up any speed before you ran into another jeep).

If I would have know how many Jeeps I would have gone home.... the only reason I kept going was I thought I had most of them behind me. but NO! there were more and more and more. EKKKKKK!! I left early Brain was going to bring everyone else up... He never made it. At the end it was a mess "the jeepers owned the hill" Kenny and I had a great camp spot but due to all the campers he had to let a few SUVs camp with us. "they were cool" just looking for somewhere to camp. Kenny fed there dog before they told him not to feed there dog because it gives there dog bad gas and the dog would be sleeping with them.. HE HE! OMG!

I realized going down the back way I coulda took all of the bypasses, gravity woulda just pulled me through. One last thing lets set a date to check out that creepy house and a few of the unexplored trails!.

Talked with Brain for a short bit today. here is what I got out of him before I needed to go. He did not say how many cars showed up but he did say ...

Jeep after jeep after jeep....

one guy rolled off the road and needed one of the jeepers to winch him back on to the road. did not sound like anyone got hurt.

another car did not have the power to climb El Camino hill so they tied him to Brains car .. Moved about 3ft and Brains clutch blew ..

I think Brain said 4 cars needed to be towed back by the Jeepers .. by the time everyone got towed out it was late and everyone went home.

I will get more information later.

Kenny you were right ...

FYI The Jeep Jamboree is the SAME weekend. They have not posted where the run is going, but I have heard from my jeep buddies it's Crown King again.
