so i need some opinions, why do the more expensive aluminum tank not poly tank? pros,cons? and also if most driving is to be done on rocky (flagstaff) terrain, tank in front or rear? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!! glad to be a member of azbaja!

I plan on useing two aluminum ones. One in front and one in back, with a universal fuel selecter switch.

I think that plastic would crack too easily.

I won't use plastic any more. I couldn't keep it from rotating in the mounts and if left sitting with fuel in the tank it would sag down around the mounting rings.

If you drive in the snow, put them up front...You always want to be able to turn your car.

Ditto on the aluminum tank. I had a poly fuel cell in my drag car, and after about 7 years it did develop a crack. Not to mention the static electicity problem. If you do use a poly tnak and it has a metal ring around the filler neck, make sure you run a ground wire to it.

We sell them both, our customers are happiest with the aluminum.
