well how many of you guessed the "show stopper " was weather stripping?

I use weather stripping to split the radiator into two sides ... I have lost many fans on the trail due to mud, sticks, Jumping my car.. (remember that one Kenny?? did not see that one coming. I had two fans on the car that day but when the fan exploded it blew a hole in my radiator.. ) poor connector giving up.( on my rail and Baja I run 4 separate wires from fan to inside my car, two 30amp fuses, two relays. to inside my car) now when something goes wrong (and it will) I can still drive the car. if you don't block the two sides you wont get the air you need thrue the radiator.

the other thing I learned over the years is the fewer connections you have the more chance of failure, so I solder everything that is import and something's that are not just so I don't mess with them later.

this part did not work as well as I thought... I needed lines to run the hot water up and down to the motor. I think as myself as a good bender so I thought if I bent up some lines and they looked good I would save a lot of money...

took it out .... ran it about 75mph to 80ish...

I think the problem is solved never got over 200 deg.

the fans come on at 212 deg. so that means that there is enough air flow that the fans don't need to come on... YEA!!!

another awesome trip to flagstaff... went out and played with some jeepers... bad idea,, they had lockers and I did not notice it until it was too late... got some new dents in the armor... bent a shock,,, blew a tire off the rim... and something is not right in the front end??? I know I bent something. But I made it out alive... and under my own power... it took ever bit of driving to get out alive after they set the hook. I would have felt better if I was in the rail.. but I think I would took some damage.

I will check the car out a later this week..

F.Y.I. radiator creep solved..
