Is that power steering I see or a dry sump system?

Starting from the back and working forward. Lots of stuff to do. Process will take some time.

Needed a new jack and had to make an extension. Took square tubing and made a 13" extension to jack up the car enough to get the tires off the ground.

Dropped the rear cage and started working on the rest of the tubing in order to paint it. From the back to the front will be the process here.

Had time Saturday so I started back on the 5 car. Old, bulky race fuel cell is now gone. Need to build some brackets to hold a new fuel cell and a shelf for oil and misc parts. Some left over angle iron, welder and some time was all I needed.

Start with some brackets.

Time for the shelf.

[

Will double check the fit on Sunday.

Time to see how everything fits together.

Everything went together great. Wrap the parts up, put them to the side and move onto the next project.

Next step is to build a firewall to protect the passengers.

Spent the day welding tears in the parcel tray and replacing body bolts that decided to fall out. Inside is completely clean and stripped. Now I can sand the cage, add a fresh coat of black and then repaint the interior.

Worked all weekend on the car. It seems like the more I work on it the more I have to do. So I made progress this weekend, it just seems like I didn't.

Maybe I will have some updated pics next weekend.

Time to repaint the entire cage and interior of the car. Gonna take a few weekends, but so far the dark grey hammer tone paint looks good.

Spent the past three days sanding, painting, taping areas off, sanding and painting more. The cage and interior is done. A few days to dry and then I can start to assemble the interior.

OK, so I have the cage painted and now I have to tape off the newly painted cage to paint the interior.

I'm doing a three stage grey / speckle tone / clear for the interior. I have found it looks good and hides a lot of imperfections in the metal. A WIN / WIN in my opinion.

FINALLY DONE! Can start working on some wiring and getting the new dash installed.

Well got a few hours in yesterday on the car. All new lines for the power steering and a little wiring work.

Also got the rear firewall and wheel wells painted. Back at it again today. Need to prep and paint the underside of the rear fenders to match.
