That looks like it works really well. Good job.

Are you running an 002 or 091 for a trans? Did you re-gear it or leave it stock?

basic 091 gear stack. welded 3rd and 4th with a type 4 diff ... need a fifth gear.

the car is a little loud for me.. I bought a better mic for the gopro. just have not taken the time to install it ... it will stop the noise of the gopro bouncing around in its case.

Loud? I watched part of the video, I could barely hear the car at all Very Happy You'd probably hate the rail with a stinger right behind your head. I'm getting too old for that crap Laughing

Looked like a really nice graded road, How does the baja do in the rough stuff?

I gave up on stinkers 25 years ago. Since that time all my cars have had mufflers of some sort... My rail is a little louder than my Baja..

I really didn't take it through anything that is particularly rough this time. Power steering performs awesome taking all the big stuff out of the steering wheel. But all the small stuff gets through so the car has a lot of feeling through the wheel but no big bumps.. The only way that I can cure that problem is to take the steering box apart and machine down the torsion bar.. Definitely controllable on and off road. Very happy with the way it came out..

Yeah looked like fun.

I'm an old fart and still old school. These things just don't look right without stingers Laughing
Can't do the muffler thing anyway, I've been nabbed for lack of spark arrestors before, so that's all I run anymore, haven't been bothered since.

My only gripe now is that I'm getting too old to listen to it, so I recently bought a U-bend to point the spark arrestor towards the ground for less noise behind my head.

ok.. this is what I have found out about my Subaru outback EJ2.5L this is the first one that I have uses the OEM computer on..

The vehicle speed sensor must operate either mechanically or with the speed sensor simulator.. Otherwise the motor tends to stall under heavy braking and hesitates in a turn after heavy braking..

The vehicle also needs to receive the correct input from the rear O2 sensor otherwise it throws a hardcode and you lose about a third of your horsepower.. I noticed this after about a half an hour of driving the motor became spongy. Poor fuel economy is also a symptom.. Right now I'm averaging about 20 miles per gallon with the weight in gearing of this car I should be somewhere around the high 20s..
Don't get me wrong I'm still very happy with the horsepower and probably would not have noticed but if it wasn't for the 20 or 30 minutes before the error code would hit the extra power that the motor Dishing out, it's that noticeable.. I can still drive the car and have lots of fun as it is.. But I know what the problem is and it can be fixed.

I've ordered a speed sensor simulator and the rear O2 sensor simulator hopefully this will cure the problems I have listed.

See Ya in the Dirt!

OMG! OMG!! OMG!!!

I installed the speed sensor simulator and the rear O2 sensor simulator today..... OMG. what a diffence it made.. I think I am going to hurt myself with this car.. (starting to think about a cage) .. I am going to try some 91 octane gas and see if that give me a little more. working on the front beam, I think I have all the parts I need to get started. ... I have been putz-around with it.. cant seem to make up my mind on how wide I want to go... I think I am going 7 1/2" over stock ... that way the adjustors will still be inside the mounts... maybe 8" over stock I need to take a look at it again...
