I must admit the 4 peaks road is one of my most favorite... The gravel on the road is always loose and slippery which means you don't have to have a whole Lotta speed to pitch the car sideways.. I'll see if I can find some footage of me going up for peaks my speed is almost doubled because I can use the rear tires for thrust to keep me on the road when I pitched my car sideways.. The two videos that I've posted part 4 and part 5 shows me going downhill. this road does not have a guards rail so if you listen to the video you will see me backing off the throttle when there's a cliff that I could fling myself off of and you'll see me punching it when my "out" is a wall or a ditch.. You're not going to believe me... But in the past I've driven off of few cliffs.. Not like what you'd see in the movies it was usually because my front tires have fallen off the cliff and there's no means for me to back out of it so you tighten your belt's you say a short little prayer to the "VW God" and take your foot off the brake.. One thing that I've learned is that you can actually kind of control the car in a freefall, the steering works to appoint to be able to avoid a Bush or tree by inches.. This only works if you have your front tires turning.. Some of us have valves that disengage the front brakes so that you can lock up the rear axle and still be able to turn.. We didn't put this valve in place for freefalling it was more for the cinders and dunes where having front brakes only impedes you.

Tinman.... Pick a weekend when it's cooler and come on down I'd be happy to take you over the for peaks road...
