Thanks Dalton. From what I gather it has been done before then. Any other tips? What about cost?

There's many right ways of making this conversion this is what I do with any project.

Before you spend any money sit down and write down what you want as an end result it's kind of like a blueprint draw it out if you have to. Go to car shows and take photos of what you would like to incorporate into your project and add them to your blueprint. This will save you from reengineering something. Then you work backwards on how much it's going to cost.

You got a consider a few things:
will I have the funds to complete the project correctly. Whatever you think it's going to cost it's usually double.

What am I willing to sacrifice so that I could afford to make this conversion. Remember to factor in your time. It usually takes three times as long as you plan for.

In this particular conversion you need to consider the additional weight that the water pumper wights
can might transmission handle the additional horsepower.
Can my CVs withstand the additional horsepower.
Do I have access to the proper tools for this conversion.

My yellow Baja was three years in the making before I even bought the donor car, but I was putting together a complete package from bumper to bumper. it took me nine-month's to locate the proper donor car.

After your blueprint is complete price things out when you have the additional funds purchase the items to make this conversion I would suggest getting that motor running outside the vehicle first I just find it easier to work on this way. I would not start a motor on in engine stand they tend to flip over the closer to the ground you get the less damage will occur if the motor gets loose. For some reason we always seem to feel the need to rev up a motor regardless if it securely mounted or not.

On top of that if it is late model computer controlled you will have to get the immobilizer written out of the program.
