I cannot get back to the Class 5 car until we take a break from racing during the summer. So in the mean time I will work on this little project.
Tomorrow night it comes apart . . .

Completely gutted the interior and wire brushed it all down. No rust through on the pan anywhere. Really good shape. Once inside is completely repainted I will doing the Chevy Cavalier/Pontiac Sunfire seat swap so the Pro Seat lowback racing seats and mounts will be up for sale.
Gonna work from the rear window forward and hope to have the inside done by next weekend. Then onto the exterior.

Half of the interior is repainted. Went from gloss black to grey speckle tone with a satin clear. Speckle tone helps hide the imperfections and is cheap to do.
Have my extensive list of stuff for bug o rama. See ya guys tomorrow.

Thank you bug o rama. Made a list and found 80% of the stuff needed. Just need to put it all together and find a motor. Progress is being made.

No pictures to show unless you want to see the car torn apart and all over the garage. Not a pretty sight right now. I can report the 75% of the interior is repainted and I hope to have the entire interior repainted by the end of the weekend.
After that I will be ripping apart the entire dash and relocating the gauges and doing a little light rewiring.

Interior is completely repainted. Time to start installing all the goodies from bug o rama. Off to the junkyard on sat with the hopes of locating some new seats.

Just to clarify a few things:
A few people asked what type of baja I was going to build from Mykuls old SCCA car? Well not to keep everyone in suspense _ NONE OF THE ABOVE.
I think the car is in excellent shape and set up to be a great handling grocery getter. I WILL NOT tear apart what Mykul spent so long building. I plan on adding to what he did to make it an even better car.
