First a gift for your eyes after you watch this read our story.
.............................................................................................
Well my son and I played Volkenstein today and breathed life into our sand rail. ITS ALIVE. ITS ALIVE! I drained almost a gallon of water from the air cooled engines oil pan and I was scared it was to far gone to continue its life after the Third Reich.
The cold metal hung off the back of the lifeless frame and I started my prayer to the veewee gods. The energy started to flow between man and machine as my warm hands started to inspect the motionless metal that was in full hibernation , next I placed copper veins to the heart of the cold iron beast so dc voltage can once again pump life into its self. Looking dehydrated from the years of neglect I poured a few ounces of high octane gogo juice in the throat of the wakening Rumpelstiltskin. Reaching over and twisting the key of life the voltage popped through copper veins to the heart of the matter and then a spit, a cough, a wine and KAPOW!!!!!!! A puff of smoke shot into the air, looking as if Cheach and Chong exhaled to vacate their lungs. She stumbled for a second while spraying ten year old black soot on everything and everyone within a 30 foot radius.
But like me after a long sleep it takes time to stretch free of the arthritic handcuffs that bind our aging bodies.
And not perfect by anyones standards. We are still truckin. ONWARD THROUGH THE FOG!
and then................
Started with a need for a dash for gauges. Made template with cardboard had a great fit. Transferred to this product (its aluminum on top and bottom with a pvc or plastic core). Its used for awning material at the new gas stations. You have to cut this stuff half way thru and bend on the line its real clean looking stuff when the cuts right. Im using a cut off wheel in a skill saw and it works great BUT the cut is not wide enough so my bend will not make a full 45. Any Ideas? Ill post finish product in a few days I made a tara top today also. But my helper was m.I.a. today. (Son). There is only one difference between a Project in your yard and storing junk in your yard. The project you work on and the junk you just say your going to work on. (5 photos)........................................................................
now a thought
Just to remind you older guys. A 1988 vehicle can now be registered as a ANTIQUE! Imagine if you will a 1988 chevy caviler with antique plates. LOL Or a Reliant K as a classic ride. Man the cool car days must be gone. Somehow the word ANTIQUE never brought to mind plastic and fiber glass. Next will we see car shows full of vanagans and plastic stationwagons? And Ford Tempo's pulling floats in the thanksgiving parade and a fat santa sitting on top of the all time classic antique show car, the Plymouth sundance or dodge shadow
Hello im Joe and my son is Ryan happy to be here Laughing

Welcome to AzBaja. It is nice that it fired up but the engine needs to come apart. A rusted crank and bearings won't last long.
