yes, just over a week away!

the passed few days of rain/snow should make the trails perfect. there might even be some water in the wash! either way, come out, hang out, get some riding in, and do a little bit of gambling and maybe walk away with a few bucks if you have the best hand during the poker run!

i will post a map later of the area where we will camp, TINMAN is the only person i know of planning to bring a motorhome/trailer, if you are please let me know so i can plan accordingly.

Smile

LESS THAN A WEEK AWAY!!!!

here's a general map of the area and the road that leads to the wash for those who haven't been there.

go through the gate at HWY 87 (Beeline) and Bush HWY on the North side. Follow the road until you go down the hill where there is a T (there used to be a stop sign but I'm not sure it's there anymore) Take a left and follow the road all the way to the main wash, #403.

The main camp area will be around the middle of the main wash. Look for a bunch of baja's and buggies. I will probably have my 3' x 5' VW flag flying to make it easier to spot us.

The grader has made a pass through the road in early February but from the rain and quads it did not stay nice very long. It is better but not like it was just graded.

We hope to make it out Saturday. Won't be able to stay too long. But at least make it out.

Thanks for the detailed map above. I have a history of getting lost. A metaphor for my life.....

for those still headed out we're not set up in the wash. the flowing water has made it soft and difficult for those with trailers.

we are now located to the right of the main road headed down to the main wash, about 1000 feet from the wash. i put up pink and orange ribbbons along the main road. if you see pink, you're getting close. the orange means you're on the camp site. turn right into the wash. there's 2 motorhomes, a few buggies, a few quads, and tents.

call James 480-285-9988 if you are lost/can't find the group.

poker run is on for NOON. bring your $5!!!

first off, I would like to thank everyone for coming out. this weekend was a success and it could not have happened without everyone coming out.

the poker run went great and we had a pot of $75 for the best poker hand. Denise took home the cake with a pair of Kings and a pair of 9's!

the weather and trails were fantastic. there was quite a bit of water in the wash from all the snow and rains we've been having, which made for some wet, but good rides.

the trails were fantastic and the rides were great. If you hang out with the rail guys enough, you'll really find out that the places you think you would never be able to go, are actually very accessible and easy to tackle.

thanks to dalton and the AVC crew, and a special thanks to Troy and Denise (TINMAN) for making the trek all the way from Las Vegas.

I had a wonderful time, look for pics and videos soon! Smile
