It's a 3/8 inch ID vacuum hose coming out of the intake manifold under the throttle body pointing towards the flywheel end of the engine. If there, it should be pretty obvious and you should be able to hear a vacuum leak while the engine is running.

Time for another update. I got a regular style throttle pedal and built all the brackets to put it on, and it works perfect. I adjusted the clutch and it's pretty close now. The major problem is this damn thing wants to idle at 3000 RPM's. The only way I can get it to come down is to shut the fuel pump off. After it's warmed up, the idle will not come down below 3000 RPM's, period. I pulled the codes off of it, and here's what they read:
P2122 throttle/pedal position sensor/switch D circuit low input.

P2127 pedal position switch validation switch 2 low.

Any input on this? I don't even know what to say at this point. Pisses me off but i've tried EVERYTHING. I checked all the vacuum lines, everything looks to be in order. I checked that line below the intake manifold on the flywheel side, I already had it blocked off. If the thing would idle it could be driven. Makes it impossible to even switch gears it idles so high.

That's a drag! I don't know much specifically about your issue, but I can say maybe the the TPS is bad or something is out of adjustment at the TPS or Pedal.

You'll probably have to lookup a Factory Service Manual for TPS diagnostics and Adjustment as well as for the Pedal for your donor engine.

I know it's frustrating, but you're on the home stretch!

I'm assuming you have the correct pedal w switches and it is wired correctly. You need to watch the pedal switch input with a scan tool and if it is not find out why.

I don't have a scan tool, this is completely out of my league. It is still acting up today, and now the transmission is playing games too. I guess it's all coming apart again...

Who can I take it to that has a scan tool to figure it out. I'm not about to start just throwing parts at it.

If you do need a pedal or throttle body, I have one of each as I went with the cable throttle body. You are welcome to borrow them to test as well.

You might want to try this. On most throttle bodies there is an air bypass valve that is computer-controlled it kicks the idle up for cold weather and when the AC kicks on it this valve gets contaminated for any reason it will stick in the open position. To test this take a piece of cardboard and start sliding across the throttle body intake if the idle drops the normal idle in the motor does not seem to fight the change then you're probably looking at a stuck bypass valve. If you pull the valve out and leave it connected to the computer most bypass valves actuate to full open and full close is soon as the key is turned and then go back to home position which is usually wide open. The other thing that would cause a fast idle condition would be a vacuum leak on the intake manifold side if your donor motor came from a vehicle that had a front impact you stand a good chance of having your intake manifold cracked for some reason take some WD-40 or some carburetor choke cleaner and spray it around the intake manifold to see if the idle drops.

I will take a closer look at the throttle body. The car was totaled that this engine came out of, looked like it rolled of a cliff. There is a chance the intake manifold is cracked, I will have to look closer at that too. If the throttle body is clogged where you are talking about, can it be cleaned or does it just have to be replaced? Thanks for the tip.

I had to replace the bypass. it kept sticking if the car sat for a while.

Time for another quick update. I was having tons of problems with the scat shifter that I had, the linkage was very sloppy and made it nearly impossible to find any gears. I stopped at foddrills on friday and picked up a new empi shifter and one of their economy shift boxes with ball bearings. I cut that old pile of VW junk out of the car today and welded this new box in. Not only does it shift very nicely, but I can find all the gears. There is a problem with 4th gear in my tranny, it just will not lock into 4th. But that's ok, all I need is 1st-3rd for what i'm doing. The idle is still hanging up, but that is my only issue. The thing runs like a bat out of hell, the power of this ecotec is just awesome. Lug it down like a diesel truck and just hammer it, the power just comes so smoothly. I went down to a junkyard on friday also and picked up another throttle body for $65. Good news, it works...bad news, it didn't change a damn thing. I also swapped out the throttle pedal(thanks chris) and it also changed nothing. Anyone know of a place local that can diagnose this thing properly?

I got it figured out, it was a vacuum leak on a nipple close to the throttle body. Had nothing to do with the computer or wiring. Runs perfect now.
