This week I got my nasty turbo charged 2332 baja to pass emissions with the help of Gilbert at db&b's. It passed with flying colors. We didn't even have to change the jets, crazy right!! We did had to turn up the idle to 2k rpm. But that's it. That and well adjust the Idle mix screws because some idiot was trying to tune it him self.

Will be doing some more touch up painting then reinstalling the lights on the fron half off the car. Also will be installing a new steering box to replace the old leaking one I have now.

Picked up a 1500 short block and pistons & liners for $50, just need to find a cheap set of heads and we could possibly have 3 cars ready for the playday.

Started building my second motor for this week. Its a stock 1600 we picked up for free, found a set of new bearings I had left over from a motor my dad and I built but never ran due to a cracked block. Getting closed to having 3 cars ready for the playday.

Dirtjunkie...Where do you keep running across free and nearly free VW motors?

I never run across them.

Just lucky I guess, the last 2 we got, we were looking at a set of wheels and the 2 motors were just laying in his yard. He just wanted them gone. And i am on craigslist about 20 times a day looking for deals.
