It depends on what you want. I personally just bought the woods buggy arms bare. And no you dont have to go coil over with 3x3s. The woods buggy arms come with a plate that has enough room for up to 3 shocks, you just have to drill them for what you want. If you are planning on going the least expensive route, you can just take all of the stub axles and stuff out of your stock arms and bolt it right in. The only thing to watch out for is if you have disk brakes on the rear you will have to modify & weld on the caliper mounting bracket, instead of bolting it on. Like 1fasthoe said, you can get the conversion axles from saw, and just run the bug cv joint on the outer, and the bus cv joint on the inner.

hey if you don't have a welder yet that would be a very wise buy. even the cheape wire feed ones are better than nothing. get a extra roll of wire unless you get the big one. check craigslist and thesamba.com before you buy also. you might find a steal of a deal.

if you go 3x3 you will wanna run a bus tranny, so yeah its going up in price quick. A good baja er is also like a weasle when it comes to sniffin out the cheap parts.

i bought the baja I have now with a NEW 1776 with dual webbers, 2x3, onepiece front, lotsa cool fiberglass extras, bus tranny and a extra set of wheels, plus a few extras for $900. sold the 1776 for $1200 and got my adapter and the whole parts car for the swap for $650. scrapped and parted the Z car and made $300 back.

do you know of anyone other than Painless that makes a simular fuse block? and i was thinking of getting a welder and a fuse block and then maybe a bus tranny then 3x3 arms, as i get more money of course.

I think that im going to save up and go with the Beanie Boy kit.

The arms are $300 plus shipping. If you do get a welder, get a lincoln that can be used with gas, or at least converted to gas down the road. I have used several 110 volt welders, and the lincoln is the best bang for the buck. There are better ones in the 110 volt category, but not as affordable. There are some cheaper ones that work ok, but you will eventually have to replace parts, and good luck finding them. You can get a nice fuse block at NAPA. They have a nice array of them in the echlin wire catalog. I got both of mine for my baja there. Mr AzBaja himself runs a t-1 trans with 3x3s. The only draw back to that is if you do go with a bus axle down the road, you will have to get shorter axle shafts.

I have always run the round aluminum cells. The thing I like about them is they are east to cut a hole in and drill and tap a few holes, and you have the gas guage in there.
