First Happy Thanksgiving
second Nice to meet ya,looks like a good place to glean info.
Kinda new to the VW thingy,Allways had Fords or Chevs and a Toyota.
I picked up a motorless 67 Bug in a field several years ago,and a 1600 that had been sitting in front of my nieghbors shop at the same time.
Add to the mixture a 6V?(had to releave bellhousing for my flywheel) Bus Trans with BigNut Redux boxes, which I mounted with an old upright adapters from same nieghbor's basement.A iffy turning/parking brake setup (That really sucks trying to adjust) use bus cables,A adjustable front end(Waiting on Lifted spindles and Disc brakes). And P225's on the back for now.LOL,and no defrost.
Jeep lowback bucket seat(VW seat was broken down and uncomfortable).
Um and only have one installed at the moment.
At the moment I'm still trying to get bugs out of the motor,it fires right up.
But still doesn't run right,oh well gives me something to complain about and tinker with.
I'll get some pics up as soon as I get around to buying a digi cam.
As for me,47 yrs old.Machinest...and learning patience with older vehicals.
And maybe someday proper speeling too.
So Good to meet you all.
P.S.
I thought the posting from someone working on a front linkpin beam for balljoint front ends was very interesting,as was His making adapters for the redux swaps.
Way to go!

The person you mentioned would be bugzylla. He lives at a house called "All Things Baja", owns more vw than underwear and socks, per his information. As you spend time on here,,you'll get to know him, and others that have plenty to offer. Good to have ya, welcome!

Welcome, And yes you will get to know BugZylla if not for anything but his awesome knowledge of VW's. And if you ever need to know what not to do ask him about the baja he bought from Rage(Me).

Ah,nothing stuck yet. It's surrounding us though.
We're in the wenatchee river valley, but the passes have been kinda nasty according to the reports. But there was ice on the windscreens this morn.Normally I don't get up till 9/10:00am,so the sun gives me a head start on defrosting.
OK,Double Checked the Valves this afternoon(Hadn't ran in 2 days and It's cold out),and a couple were snug but the reast .006 felt fine.
Next step is to check the float.
