Going to clean up all welds on my front and rear cages. Then I will wire all lights and buggy whips in the cage. I'm not a fan of exposed wires on a cage, especially when my turbo has a very good chance of cooking them.

did a little reworking on my lower front shock mounts. with some minor adjusting and moving the limit strap i gained about 2 more inches of droop.

Picked up the tubes for the clutch cable and throttle cable for the rail.

Still need to bleed the brakes, Rewire in the tail lights, Bolt down battery, Use more Krylon Blue Spray paint.

The big push this week is to get the radiator plumbed in and get the moter running again. I still need to replace that smelly stuff in the gas tanks. At this point the Baja will be drivable again.

After that I will start working on the front end of the car, new wires paint etc. etc.

Completed the long block on a 2332 N/A motor. Mesured for push rod length and setup rocker geometry. I will cut the rods Thursday when I get them from Doug's. Fun fun stuff. Should have it on the starting stand early next week.

Ran the brake line in the rail and figured out how I am going tyo mount my throttle and clutch cable lines.

On the way home from work I discovered the clutch pedal on project II has a huge crack in it right where it mounts to the shaft. Interesting never seen a pedal crack there before. Good thing is I have a freshly rebuilt set with the new bushing style arm and spaced out pedal ready to go.

if it's in the same place that i'm thinking mine cracked there once before. simply weld it up and then add a gusset to the backside of the clutch pedal arm. good as new Smile

Pulled the rear fenders off. Only had one captive nut come loose so I had to yank it out. With the help of my son (4Yrsold) who held it in place while I used a dull chisle to close the hole back up around it. Holds pretty tight and will work fine as long as I don't over tighten.

Too muggy to do any more today.

- Prime (so they aren't green) fenders
- Install Lights and fenders, reconnect wiring
- Going to install additional grounding. I've always had problems starting it and they were worse after removing the fenders. I had to fiddle with stuff to get it to fire up.
- Order Replacement lenses

I want it ready for the outing in Nov!

rebuilt pedal set in and now almost no brakes for some reason. Gonna re adjust them and bleed everything see if that helps. My worry is the brake pedal is different and I'm going to have to take everything apart and swap them out.

Jeremy and I rebuilt my pedal assembly a week ago. What a pain in the rear. Sure doesn't help that its basically accessible only by laying prone.

Looked at them and the spot on the brake pedal that the brake push bar sits on is in a different place about 1/2 inch. So I may have to switch them. The bar is already adjusted out almost all the way now.

pulled entire front beam drum to drum. Notching frame head for stock king/link beam setup. Preparing to pull the body for some pan restoration. "NEVER SAY DIE!"
