Cage and skid plate installed. Needed to change a few things with the wiring and install the tail lights/turn signals.

Alternator light on dash won't go out, but the voltmeter shows charging. Will troubleshoot that next.

Had an idea for a window scoop to get air into the oil cooler. I put the oil cooler in the window with a fan on it and then created a scoop.

$12 WRX cheapo hood scoop and $5 plexi glass from home depot.

great looking baja man... just read your entire thread and I am impressed... did you do the fabrication yourself on the roof rack and rockers?

WE made it around the block today. Need to adjust the clutch play a little. I have to push it too far not to grind the gears. The reverse lockout plate on the shifter I think is in backwards. Brakes are too soft. Need some adjustment there. Also a stronger spring on the carb will allow it to pop back to neutral idle quicker.

It does ride like a race car. Needs to at speed for the suspension to work. Also need to install a steering stabilizer. The rack and pinion steers very quick on the streets.

I designed the rack and a friend built it for me. The streamline nerf bars are tubing from the fence supply area of Home Depot. Bought the end caps, welded them on and ground them down. Nothing special there.

I already have one in the works. It is a little hard to control on the pavement.

Getting really, really close on this car. Spent the majority of the weekend doing all the little things.

Engine and rebuilt trans back in the car.

Wired the lights on the roof rack.

New padding for door bars, limiting straps for the rear and fender beading for back fenders

Installed amber light

Started on number plate for the rear cage. Will also hold the license plate.

Race trim seats and G-Force 5 pt. harness' installed.

Dash bolted down, tach setup and "Oh Chit" bar installed.

Still a few more things on the list. I better have it done by Wednesday!

Thanks.

Still need to figure out a steering stabilizer. That is the last big thing to try and figure out.
