Okay I finally put this together in my head and finished it. I was quite surprised at how well it worked.

I used some silicone hose, pvc fittings, a 4 inch marine bilge blower, choke cables, aircraft gaspers, some aircraft kit builders mixing and shutoff valves, and a whole lot of imagination. I have 3 gaspers, one on each side and one in the middle.

Assembled

On/Off and mixing valve

4 Inch Marine bilge blower

NACA duct, it looks ugly, it was a salvage, but it works

On/Off and mixing valve again from aircraft spruce

Passenger duct and defog, I know my fuel fill hose is AFU but working on it

Driver side duct, defog and blower

All in all it works well, should provide some circulation in the summer Abalama 98 deg. swamp heat. Did I include a venturi for water removal? No. We will see how that works next time it rains! Should be interesting.

Sometimes you get an idea in your head and it sounds cool, then becomes a monstrosity, is functional but aint quite there. Oh well it was fun!

Its getting there but aint there yet! Now how to talk my Helicopter Pilot wife into a Kombi instead of a smart car!

Nice job! I see a cople of things on your car I have questions about. I like the blinker/marker lights on the front quater panels and have been wanting to add those to my car. Where did you get those and what kind of car are they from. Also, I see you have an XM radio installed. I am going to put mine in my baja and was wondering where you put the XM antenna. I was tinking about sticking it on a metal tab under the front hood. I was thinking it would prbably be able to "see" the satellite through the fiberglass.

Thanks
Ken

Ken,

Thanks for the compliment.

The side marker lights I got at Foxtail lights : www.foxtaillights.com/...hting.html

They sell all kinds of stuff for semis and trailers and if I remember right they were only 9 bucks each.

As for the XM. We tried the inside thing on our sailboat and no go. Even tall pine trees on the road side will cut out your siginal because it comes in at an angle off the transponder. Your best bet is on the roof. I ran the wire out of the original antenna wire hole, then tucked it under the window seal. The wire is small so will fit but remember it is a very fragile wire.

Hope this helps bro!

Bobby

Great job-! looks clean. I was thinking about a similar project on my squareback to push some more air through to the back for the kids and dog using a bilge blower - does it move a lot of air, blows strong? problem I've had wtih some after market fans, they really dont blow well through ducting.
