I have ADS coilovers on my 5 car. Steve Kuker builds a great shock. You will not be disappointed.

Nice, Steve treated me right. They matched the price of the Fox's that were on a 20% sale. I will be running a 10" front and 14" rear (both rezzy's)

I havent bought springs yet, but Steve said they would weigh the car and select the right spring for me and help adjust valving once the car is done. Super stoked and I am happy to support a local shop.

I got the call yesterday they were ready for pickup, but didnt have a chance. Should pick them up today.

Picked up the shocks today. Man these things are sick!

These things are impressive. Comparing them to the set of Fox2.0 Coils I have laying around, these put them to shame Twisted Evil

I will be running 10" 2.125 Fronts and 14" 2.125 rears. Coil springs im not sure of yet, once the car is complete ADS will weigh it and give me the correct springs and tune the shocks.

Im very close to starting the chassis. Just wating for my Torsion Eliminators to show up and need to secure a set of Combo Spindles and +4 arms.

More to come...

Not quite yet, I still have to secure a set of rear disc brakes and all the tubing for the chassis. Im trying to locate a source for decent priced steel tubing. I want to run DOM 1.5" 095 wall if I can, but its nearly $5 a foot local.

The other wrench thrown into my plans is, we might be moving in the next month or two. I would hate to start the chassis build and then have to move it mid-build to our new house. On the plus side, the new house is going to have a custom 20x30 detached garage (in addition to the attached 20x24) and its for my projects and my projects only Twisted Evil

Thats about what DOM costs in Phoenix. I have put my 30 plus year old rail up against almost everything I can think of and the cheaper welded tubing has held up I get cracks but they seem to be around the same stress points I see repaired on off road race cars. One trick with the welded is not to strech the welded seam when bending. A dedicated garage is a very good thing.

Been a while since my last update. We are in the process of moving and part of that is trying to gather my huge parts collection for this car and prepare to move it Confused

I had to make the car a roller so I can fill the tub with parts, which forced me to at least mock up the front.

Front end info:
+6 Beam
+4 Tweed Arms
Empi Combo Spindles
Tatum CNC Disc Brakes
10" ADS 2.125 Coilovers

Pictures of it mocked in place - the beam is in the stock location, but once the chassis is started, it will be pushed almost 8" forward.

State of the art 20 years ago seems old school today.

I have some brake envy going on here.

Well, after a long hiatus (moving took a lot out of me and took a hit to the car fund), I am back at work. Finally rolled the car out of the garage this weekend and started chopping. I had to remove some of the rear factory shocktowers for the body to sit flush on the pan and finally mounted the body.

I also started on the motor and will be building a mild 1915 for now (keeping it cheap), but found out the case I was holding onto was junk - DOH.

Also ordered my tubing - 160 feet of 1.5" DOM and it should be here next week.

Look for a lot of status updates from me in the coming weeks. Thanksgiving will kill a week for me, but I am hoping to have this whole chassis tacked up before Christmas Break!

Hey, I clicked on your post looking for some inspiration for my buggy i'm building, and I was surprised to see my current buggy on your first couple posts. I must have bought it off the guy you sold it to. I will try and get some pics up here so you can see the transformation it has taken.

I would love that, I still second guess myself on whether I should have stuck with the original body and learned to glass - but with how long this has taken me already, I can only imagine how much farther behind I would be.
