it's on the trans axle, it a button type switch the screws in.

it has 2 spade conectors. on my baja (I rewired every thing, NOT STOCK)

Run 1 spade to ground the other spade to the ground side of a realy 35/40 amp BOSCH (Black Cube Realy)

Ground-----------Button Switch @ Transaxle--------Neg Relay coil(Relay) Pos Relay coil---------- hot 12v aka battery better to switch hot lead vs cconstant so if you leave your baja in REV back up light will not stay on.

Ground-------Flood Light--------Contact side A (Relay) Contact side B----12v pos Batery

Just start at one end and wire it like above, it's in order and will work just fine

As you can se I have both paths for each part of the relay. I hope this helps if not I can make up a picture or somthing like that for you.

you could do it that way to but you would have to run 2 wires back from the switch.

If your ground it right to the body of the car at the switch it will be like running one wire and if you do have any problms the light will act as a load/fuse. So if you do get a short in the switch to ground your light will turn on, no big deal. This a a switched ground set up.

the way you have wil use more wire as you double back and if you do get a short in the wire before the light it will put the load on the switch and wires and melt every thing. So if you do it that way you need a fuse.

Switched positive/hot wire

Ground----(light)----(Switch)----(Fuse)----Keyed 12v pos

Switched ground

ground------(switch)------(light)------keyed pos 12v

If the Switch fails (shorts to ground) you will melt every thing from there to your battery. So make sure you protect it if your running it as switched pos.

A light is a fuse in a way, if you over load your circuit it will burn out. just make sure you run good wire. I used 12 and 14 on my car most people use 16 or 18.
