[quote="biblethumpncop"]I hope that works Eric. What did it turn out to be?

Turns out the front hose was pinched and the metal line at the motor was partially blocked.

Washed, buffed with a light compound and waxed it. Didn't help. Sad

Actually drove mine for the first time in 5 years of ownership. Took it to the Chirco show and parked between James and Preston (with another car in between). Had some idiot in a Toyota truck back into it when I was hooking up the tow bar in the alley behind Chirco's.

Then at home drove it around a little bit more.

The lights fell off leaving your house, so I tie strapped them to the bumper. Checked the lug torque on the way down and all went well.

Pushed the bug back into the cleaned and painted garage, no more red and white walls and black and white checker board floor. This will be easy to wash the floor.

I assembled the carb with a 1" spacer after adding the alternator. I found my throttle cable is too short now. I made it work, but it idles too high now. Time to buy an extention or longer cable.

today i fixed a couple of oil leaks. put new o-rings under the stock oil cooler, rerouted my oil return from the turbo, and replaced the seal between the drive flange and the side cover as well as the cap that goes inside the drive flange.
